Sheet D11 Revision 1 Counted 16 October 2026

£30 free no deposit: 300 presses, and the clause that sets the pace

Three hundred presses at 10p is what thirty pounds of credit buys, and as a balance it comes through a tenfold requirement with £18.00 intact. The condition that decides how long that takes is not the multiple. It is the maximum bet: capped at a tenth of the credit, three pounds a bet turns £300.00 of staking into a hundred bets at the least, and 3,000 presses at the most.

The credit £30 bonus One spin 10p Comes to £18.00 at tenfold

The figure in the third register is this site's own arithmetic and nothing an operator has published: the count at face, less the share a spin gives back at 96 per cent return to player, less what playing the wagering through costs at the same return. It describes the offer, not one reader's afternoon. Where the conditions price above the count the counter prints nothing rather than a negative sum, and where a figure the sum needs is unpublished it prints the condition in the operator's words instead.

A count has no unit of its own, so one is supplied. Where an operator publishes what a spin of its own is worth, that figure stands in the second register and is labelled as theirs. Where it does not, the second register carries this site's own 10p a spin and says so, and the foot figure moves in proportion: at half the price, half the money. The figure after it, what the count comes to for each spin, is the one that compares a large count against a small one.

Three words stand in the amount column where no figure can. Noted is a published condition that takes value away without leaving the sum a figure to take. Unpriced is a condition whose figure nobody has published, or a credit that is not a sum until a deposit of your own sets it. Own money is money of yours, which is never part of a foot figure.

Not one of the operators printed above holds a Great Britain licence, so the duties that licence carries do not reach them. Every online gambling company licensed in Great Britain has to be part of Gamstop Online, and a reader who has shut themselves out through the scheme is therefore not shut out here. The ceiling of ten times the bonus funds on a wagering requirement, in force since 19 January 2026, is a condition of that licence and binds the companies that hold one. Where a dispute goes instead is a matter for the authority named on the counter, and the Gambling Commission describes what a reader faces without a British licence as a lack of recourse if things go wrong. Nobody under 18 may hold an account at any of them.

Every term printed on a counter is the operator's own, and each counter carries the day it was read. The oldest of those readings is 16 October 2026. What binds a reader is the operator's own full terms, and not a line printed here.

1

Thirty pounds, converted

Convert before judging. At the 10p this site works to, thirty pounds of credit is 300 presses of a slot. Run straight through a 96 per cent game, the presses carry an expected £28.80 and leave £1.20 with the machine. Twelve minutes and thirty seconds covers them where cycles stay two and a half seconds apart.

But a credit is a balance, and a balance is the sort of thing conditions fasten onto. That is the difference between this page and the pages on this site about counts of presses. A press is already paid for and cannot carry a play-through. Thirty pounds sitting in a bonus balance can.

So two figures matter from the start and they are not the same figure. £28.80 is what 300 presses are expected to return. £30.00 is the balance a requirement is computed against. Which one a condition attaches to decides the arithmetic, and the terms rather than the headline decide which.

Thirty pounds, three ways
The line being countedFigure
Credit advertised£30.00
Presses it buys at 10p300
Expected return on those presses£28.80
Balance a requirement is set against£30.00
Survives a tenfold requirement£18.00
Shortest lawful run of 300 presses12 minutes 30 seconds

Both percentages here are this site’s declared assumptions. A free press has no cash value fixed for it in print anywhere, and nothing compels a licensed game to publish a return figure, since four alternatives can each discharge that duty alone. Substitute an offer’s own figures wherever it states them, and every total below rescales in proportion.

2

The ladder on a thirty pound balance

The arithmetic of a requirement is a scaling. Scale the credit by the quantity one minus four per cent of the multiple. Fourpence of every staked pound is the share a 96 per cent game keeps, which makes each turn cost four per cent of the balance it clears.

The credit at six multiples
If the terms ask Turnover owed Presses at 10p Pressing time at the floor Survives at the foot
Nothing at allnonenone owednone£30.00
Fivefold£150.001,500 presses1 hour 3 minutes£24.00
Tenfold£300.003,000 presses2 hours 5 minutes£18.00

Twenty-five times£750.00 owed7,500 presses5 hours 13 minutesnothing at all
Fortyfold£1,200.0012,000 presses8 hours 20 minutesa shortfall of £18.00

Two of those rows are out of reach for a British licence holder. Ten times is the most any play-through may ask of bonus funds, a bound running from 19 January 2026, and earlier practice was recorded at sixty times in the consultation response that produced it. The tenfold row is therefore the heaviest a licensed cashier may ask, and the last two rows belong to cashiers the bound does not reach.

Twenty-five times is where the sum reaches nothing, and the reason is a reciprocal rather than a policy. Four pence in the pound times twenty-five turns consumes a pound, so twenty-five turns consume any balance whatever. Thirty pounds, three hundred pounds and three pounds all come to nothing at that multiple, and the headline does not matter at all.

The pressing-time column is the one no advertisement carries, and at this size it is the column that decides whether the figures in the last column are ever realised. Two hours and five minutes of pressing at the regulated ceiling is a serious commitment. Eight hours and twenty minutes, which is what fortyfold asks, is a working day.

£300.00 of turnover, 3,000 presses, 2 hours 5 minutes, to keep £18.00 of £30.00

3

The maximum bet, and the pace it sets

A multiple fixes how much turnover is owed. It says nothing about how fast that turnover may be produced, and the clause that governs the speed is the one readers skip.

Consider the shape such clauses tend to take, set out here as the arithmetic of a kind of term and not as any report of a published offer. A tenth of the credit is the biggest stake permitted during the wagering, subject to a 10p floor and a five pound ceiling, with the lower of those two governing. On thirty pounds a tenth is £3.00, which is under the five pound ceiling, so three pounds is the cap.

Now count. Three hundred pounds of turnover at three pounds a bet needs a hundred bets at the least. The same three hundred pounds at 10p a press needs three thousand. Both satisfy the requirement and both cost the same expected £12.00, because the expected cost depends on the turnover and not on the pace. What differs is the time and the spread of outcomes.

One requirement at five paces
Stake chosen per cycle Cycles needed for £300 Time at the 2.5 second floor Expected cost of the turnover Permitted under a £3 cap
10p a cycle3,0002 hours 5 minutes£12.00yes
25p a cycle1,20050 minutes£12.00yes
£1 a cycle30012 minutes 30 seconds£12.00yes
£3 a cycle1004 minutes 10 seconds£12.00at the cap exactly
£5 a cycle602 minutes 30 seconds£12.00no, the cap is £3

The fourth column holding still across every row is the finding. A maximum bet clause cannot make a requirement more expensive in expectation, and it cannot make it cheaper. What it does is remove the fast routes, which lengthens the exercise and narrows the spread of outcomes: a hundred bets of three pounds produces a wider distribution than three thousand presses of ten pence, and the three thousand presses take thirty times as long.

Two statutory caps sit above whatever the terms say, and they produce an interaction worth knowing. Five pounds is the most one game cycle on an online slot may take, dropping to two pounds for an individual who has not turned twenty-five. A reader beneath that age therefore cannot work at the three pound pace: two pounds is their ceiling, and three hundred pounds of turnover then needs a hundred and fifty cycles at the least instead of a hundred. 25 February 2025 is when the instrument fixing both figures was made, and the regulator’s guidance carries the dates: 9 April 2025 for the five pounds, 21 May 2025 for the two.

A reader who meets a maximum bet clause should therefore read it with the stake caps in hand and work out which binds first. Where the clause is lower, the clause governs. Where the statutory figure is lower, that governs. On thirty pounds of credit the clause is lower for anybody over twenty-five and the statute is lower for anybody under it.

A falling curve of cycles needed against stake per cycle, from three thousand cycles at ten pence down to sixty at five pounds, with a vertical line at three pounds marking the cap.
Figure 1. Cycles needed to turn over £300, against the stake chosen for each. The line at three pounds is where a tenth-of-the-credit cap would stand.

4

Where the staking happens, and on what

The turnover has to be produced somewhere, and two features of that somewhere move the figures above without ever appearing in them.

Weighting is the first. Credit a game below its face against a requirement and each staked pound yields under a pound towards it, pushing up the staking while the printed multiple sits still. Work it at the 30 per cent rate respondents put to the regulator in consultation: three hundred pounds of required credit then calls for roughly £1,000.00 of real staking. At 10p that is ten thousand presses, and six hours and fifty-seven minutes. The terms still say ten times. A current table of contribution rates exists in no primary source, so this sheet attaches no percentage to any particular game.

Worked the other way, weighting gives a reader a question to ask. The real staking is the required credit over the contribution rate. At 100 per cent, three hundred pounds of credit costs three hundred pounds of staking. At 50 per cent it costs six hundred. At 30 per cent it costs a thousand. At 10 per cent it costs three thousand, which at 10p a press is thirty thousand presses and nearly twenty-one hours. The multiple in the headline is unchanged in all of those cases, and the exercise has grown tenfold.

The identity of the game is the second feature, and it carries a caution a reader can act on. Recognising the game proves nothing about the licence behind the site. Software from licensed suppliers has been turning up on unlicensed sites, which the regulator recorded in an industry warning notice, so the familiar name on the reels is not a licence check of any kind.

Nor is that a theoretical worry. One supplier agreed to pay £4.75m over games of its own that had reached six unlicensed websites open to consumers here. Three failures were named by the regulator: on the assessment of money laundering risk, on the controls meant to keep those games out of this market, and on customer due diligence. Evolution Malta Holding Limited was the licensee. 23 July 2026 was the date.

So the check is the register rather than the logo. A reader can look up a licensee by its account number, see the activities, see the head office, and see which domain names sit against the account. A site naming a holder and a number invites exactly that check. Where a site names neither, it is asking to be taken on trust, and the wrong unit is exactly what trust is.

5

A ceiling and a floor on thirty pounds

Two conditions work from opposite ends and at this size the ceiling is the dangerous one.

Since 9.6p of expectation comes with each press, a ceiling over 9.6p gives the count at which expectation arrives there. Ten pounds works out at 104 presses. A credit of thirty pounds buys 300, so a ten pound ceiling leaves roughly two hundred of those presses adding nothing to the expected value: the uncapped expectation on the presses is £28.80 and a capped balance has no prospect of exceeding £10.00, so at least £18.80 has gone before any multiple is applied.

Maximum wins, four of them
The ceiling as printedPresses at which it is metWhat it does to the 300
£10 maximum104 pressesabout 196 presses idle, £18.80 gone at least
£20 maximum208 pressesabout 92 presses idle, £8.80 gone at least
£30 maximum313 pressesnone idle, £1.20 of headroom
£100 maximum1,042 pressesnone idle, £71.20 of headroom

The thirty pound row is the point of indifference and the reason is general rather than particular. Headroom equal to the house’s share is what a ceiling set at the credit’s own face value leaves, £1.20 in this instance, because the machine keeps face value multiplied by the edge. A ceiling above face value costs nothing at all on the average. One below it costs the distance from the expectation down to the cap.

Each of those removal figures sets a floor under the loss instead of measuring it. What a ceiling cuts off is an individual outcome rather than an average, and the portion of an average that goes turns on how a game divides its return between small frequent results and large rare ones, a division published nowhere. On the maximum win attached to bonus winnings, no standard figure comes from any primary source, which leaves the four ceilings in that table as round numbers picked for a readable division.

A floor is the gentler condition at this size. A ten pound minimum withdrawal against the £18.00 a tenfold requirement leaves asks for nothing unusual, since eighteen pounds is already above it. A twenty pound floor asks for 1.11 times that outcome. A fifty pound floor asks for 2.78 times. The habit worth keeping is to read the floor and the ceiling together and ask whether the expected figure falls between them: on this credit at the regulated ceiling, that figure is £18.00.

One published rule concerns a different pot and is routinely misread as covering this one. Where a term caps the withdrawals from a deposit balance, imposing it is out, and so are using it, enforcing it and relying on it. Money paid in is what that protects. An offer requiring no deposit has none of that money behind it, so every pound in play sits in a bonus balance, and nothing there prohibits a ceiling.

6

Thirty pounds against the market it comes from

A section of scale belongs on a page about a thirty pound credit, because proportion is the one thing an advertisement never supplies. Every figure here is an official statistic with its period attached.

Gross gambling yield here reached £17.5 billion for the twelve months to March 2026, up by 4.4 per cent, and £13.2 billion of it lay outside every reported lottery. Publication came on 17 September 2026. One caution on the label: that same £17.5 billion appears on the regulator’s statistics hub as the value of the gambling market in this country, while its news release calls the figure total gross gambling yield, and the release’s wording is the exact one.

Online is where a credit like this one lives. Remote casino, betting and bingo came to £8.3 billion over the period, up 6.9 per cent. Of that, online casino games took £5.7 billion, while slots games by themselves took £4.8 billion.

Now do the arithmetic that puts a credit in that frame, labelled as this site’s own working throughout. Slots yield of £4.8 billion is a house share, and at a 4 per cent edge a house share of that size implies roughly £120 billion of staking passing through to produce it. At 10p a press, £120 billion of staking is 1.2 trillion presses. A thirty pound credit is 300 of them.

Run it the other way for a second frame. Active accounts reached 25.7 million by the close of the last reporting quarter in that same annual report, which puts licensed operators at 2,154 and licensed activities at 3,097 as at the end of March 2026. Hand a thirty pound credit to every one of those 25.7 million accounts once and the funded stake comes to £771 million, which is about 16 per cent of a single year’s slots yield. That is the scale a bonus budget occupies: large in absolute terms, modest beside the thing it is advertising.

What those figures establish is not an argument against taking an offer. It is the right frame for reading one. The thirty pounds in the headline is a marketing cost inside a business whose annual margin on one product runs to billions, and the conditions this sheet has priced are how that cost is kept where the business intends it.

7

What the licence fixes about pace and stake

This page has been about speed as much as about money, so the comparison belongs on the same ground. Here is what a British licence fixes about how a thirty pound credit may be played through, and what happens to each item without one.

Because a licence applies, a slot cycle cannot restart under two and a half seconds, and every time figure on this page takes its floor from there. Because a licence applies, turbo and slam stop may not be sold, so the floor cannot be bought out. Because a licence applies, autoplay is prohibited across gaming, so the three thousand presses have to be pressed. Because a licence applies, two games may not be run at once, so the turnover cannot be produced in parallel. Because a licence applies, a return no larger than the stake may not be celebrated, so the hundredth press of a losing run does not sound like a win.

Because a licence applies, one cycle cannot take more than five pounds, or two pounds from a customer under twenty-five. Because a licence applies, no play-through above ten times may be fixed to the credit. Because a licence applies, the incentive’s terms must be clear ones, transparent ones and fair ones, kept within easy reach of whoever gets offered the thing. Because a licence applies, the value of the incentive cannot be changed where the qualifying activity was completed inside less than the whole offer period.

Remove the licence and each of those sentences loses its first clause and its consequence together. Read right through, Curaçao’s own responsible gaming policy, the one dated 21 February 2025, puts no interval at all between one cycle and the next. Turbo and slam stop go unmentioned in it. Autoplay goes unmentioned. No stake cap appears, no multiple is capped, and celebrating a return at or beneath the stake is restricted nowhere. Its two sentences on bonuses ask for transparent communication of the terms and forbid aggressive promotion that encourages excessive gambling.

The consequence runs through the arithmetic rather than around it. Without a minimum interval, three thousand presses need not take two hours and five minutes; with a turbo button they might take twenty minutes. The expected cost of the turnover does not move, because that depends on the turnover and the edge. What moves is how quickly a reader arrives at the end of it, and how much of an evening stands between them and the decision to stop.

8

The route out, and why it only runs once

Offers of this kind are advertised freely where no Great Britain licence applies, and because this page has priced a credit large enough to produce a dispute, the dispute route is where the comparison should end.

Inside the licence the chain is published and it is timed throughout. The acknowledgement comes first, owed inside three working days and inside a day where the gambling never closes. Eight weeks caps the process from end to end. Six months from the incident is the minimum window a customer gets for bringing a complaint at all. A customer who sits on a reasonable information request for a week may find the clock paused, and it resumes where it paused. At the end comes a letter explaining the decision, closing the operator’s process, and pointing onward to one of the eight independent entities the regulator has approved, whose sector coverage is not identical.

What that chain cannot do is published as well, and a reader should know it before relying on the chain. The regulator is not an ombudsman and says so. Recovering a consumer’s money is outside its powers. Settling a dispute over a withdrawal is outside them too, as is settling one over a game that malfunctioned. Customer accounts are not visible to it at all. Its own instruction is to take the complaint to the business first.

Outside the licence a route exists and it is narrower in ways worth naming precisely. A complaints policy is published by Curaçao. Complaining is free and the window runs six months. Responding takes four weeks of the operator’s, and four more can be had on written notice. Receipt confirmed in writing inside a week. Complaints about responsible gambling take priority, on best efforts within five business days. Dispute resolution is compulsory and the operator bears the cost.

Three limits in that policy bind the player, and they are the reason a reader should take the first attempt seriously. Where a dispute resolution process has run to its end, beginning it again at a different entity is not available. Where a player drops out of a process that has begun, they should not have the right to resurface the dispute later. Only the registered player may complain at all, the governing ordinance barring any player from pledging a claim against a licence holder, or pawning it, leasing it, renting it, donating it or selling it. A route that runs once, for the registered person only, is a different thing from a route that runs twice.

One further honesty is owed about the scale of all this, and it comes from the regulator rather than from this site. Given the revenue in play, it has written, fully dismantling the illegal market is unlikely ever to happen, and that market gets described as increasingly sophisticated, as digitally driven, and as global in scale. An effect has been published as well. Traffic data across the 160 websites it targeted for enforcement action showed 32 per cent fewer visits. Both sentences belong on a page like this one, because a reader is better served by the real position than by either half of it alone.

Tax closes the comparison and it runs the reader’s way. Duty on gaming attaches to the country a player ordinarily lives in and not to whichever jurisdiction stands behind a licence, which brings every operator taking British play inside British duty wherever it happens to sit. Nothing is saved by an absent licence there. Removed instead are the clock running to eight weeks, the adjudicator approved to take the complaint next, and the register with the power to close all licensed accounts together.

Questions

What is £30 free with no deposit actually worth?
Thirty pounds of credit buys 300 presses at 10p. As a balance under a tenfold requirement it holds £18.00 through tenfold, £6.00 through twentyfold, and nothing whatever at twenty-five times. Spent straight through with nothing attached, 300 presses return an expected £28.80.
How much turnover does a tenfold requirement on £30 mean?
£300.00. Reckon on 3,000 presses at 10p apiece, and on two hours and five minutes where cycles keep two and a half seconds between them. The expected cost of producing it is £12.00, which is why £18.00 survives.
What does a maximum bet clause do to that?
It fixes the pace without changing the price. A tenth of the credit as the cap puts three pounds on one cycle at most, so £300.00 of turnover then needs a hundred bets at the very least. Whether a reader uses 10p a cycle or three pounds a cycle, the expected cost stays £12.00. What changes is the time, from four minutes at the cap to two hours at 10p.
Does the £2 stake limit for under-25s interact with that clause?
It does, and it binds first. Five pounds is the ceiling on one cycle of an online slot, and two pounds the ceiling where the individual has not turned twenty-five. So a reader beneath that age cannot use a three pound pace: their ceiling is two pounds, which turns £300.00 of turnover into at least a hundred and fifty cycles rather than a hundred.
Why does a £10 maximum win cap hurt a £30 credit so much?
Because 300 presses come with the credit while a ten pound ceiling gets reached at 104 of them. About 196 of the presses then add nothing to the expected value, and at least £18.80 of the uncapped £28.80 has gone before any multiple applies. A ceiling at the credit’s own face value leaves exactly the house’s share as headroom, which here is £1.20.
Is a recognisable game any sign of a licence?
No, and the regulator has said so. Games from licensed suppliers have been recorded by it as appearing on unlicensed sites. On 23 July 2026 a payment of £4.75m was agreed by the licensee Evolution Malta Holding Limited, six unlicensed sites reachable by consumers here having been found to carry its games. The check is the public register, not the logo on the reels.
How big is the market a £30 credit is advertised in?
Across the twelve months to March 2026 the gross gambling yield here was £17.5 billion, in figures published on 17 September 2026. Remote casino, betting and bingo took £8.3 billion of it, online casino games £5.7 billion, slots on their own £4.8 billion. The arithmetic that follows is this site’s own: a £4.8 billion house share at a 4 per cent edge implies something like £120 billion of staking behind it, which at 10p a press is 1.2 trillion presses, and a thirty pound credit is 300 of them.
What happens to a dispute if the site has no British licence?
A route exists and it runs once. Such an offer holds no Great Britain licence, so the eight-week complaints clock and the regulator-approved adjudicator do not apply. Curaçao publishes six months to complain, four weeks to respond extendable by four more, and compulsory dispute resolution at the operator’s cost. Its own limits bind the player, though: a completed process cannot be restarted with a different entity, somebody who drops out should not resurface the dispute, and only the registered player may complain at all.
