Sheet D20 Revision 1 Counted 16 October 2026

1000 free spins no deposit: £96.00 of expectation and 41 minutes of pressing

A thousand cycles at 10p is £100.00 of funded staking and an expected £96.00. It is also 2,500 seconds of button work at the fastest a licensed slot may run, and that second figure is the one no banner prints. This sheet prices the tally, the clock, the instalments and the single condition that can reduce the whole thing to a tenth of its headline.

The figure in the third register is this site's own arithmetic and nothing an operator has published: the count at face, less the share a spin gives back at 96 per cent return to player, less what playing the wagering through costs at the same return. It describes the offer, not one reader's afternoon. Where the conditions price above the count the counter prints nothing rather than a negative sum, and where a figure the sum needs is unpublished it prints the condition in the operator's words instead.

A count has no unit of its own, so one is supplied. Where an operator publishes what a spin of its own is worth, that figure stands in the second register and is labelled as theirs. Where it does not, the second register carries this site's own 10p a spin and says so, and the foot figure moves in proportion: at half the price, half the money. The figure after it, what the count comes to for each spin, is the one that compares a large count against a small one.

Three words stand in the amount column where no figure can. Noted is a published condition that takes value away without leaving the sum a figure to take. Unpriced is a condition whose figure nobody has published, or a credit that is not a sum until a deposit of your own sets it. Own money is money of yours, which is never part of a foot figure.

Not one of the operators printed above holds a Great Britain licence, so the duties that licence carries do not reach them. Every online gambling company licensed in Great Britain has to be part of Gamstop Online, and a reader who has shut themselves out through the scheme is therefore not shut out here. The ceiling of ten times the bonus funds on a wagering requirement, in force since 19 January 2026, is a condition of that licence and binds the companies that hold one. Where a dispute goes instead is a matter for the authority named on the counter, and the Gambling Commission describes what a reader faces without a British licence as a lack of recourse if things go wrong. Nobody under 18 may hold an account at any of them.

Every term printed on a counter is the operator's own, and each counter carries the day it was read. The oldest of those readings is 16 October 2026. What binds a reader is the operator's own full terms, and not a line printed here.

1

A thousand cycles, and what they carry

A thousand is the largest tally this section prices, and the arithmetic is the same arithmetic as at five. Multiply the tally by the price of one cycle and by the return of the game. A thousand times 10p is £100.00 of staking. Ninety-six per cent of that is £96.00, leaving £4.00 as the edge taken across the award.

Two features of a four-figure tally make it different in kind rather than in degree. The first is that the expectation is large enough for the conditions in the small print to be worth printing: a cap, a threshold and a clock all bite at this size, where they are decorative at twenty cycles. The second is that the time cost becomes substantial, and time is the only part of the trade a reader supplies out of their own pocket.

A caution on what the mean means at this tally. A thousand cycles is a large enough sample for the average to do real work, so an ordinary result sits much closer to £96.00 than a five-cycle result sits to 48p. It is still an average over repetitions rather than a promise, and a slot with rare, large features will still produce a distribution skewed below the mean with a long tail above it.

A thousand cycles, in six figures
QuantityFigure
Staking funded by somebody else£100.00
Expected to come back£96.00
House edge over the thousand£4.00
Expectation added by one cycle9.6p
Shortest lawful run41 min 40 s
Cycles an hour at the floor pace1,440

Ten pence a cycle and 96 pence returned in the pound are declared assumptions here, not rules. Nothing published states what a free cycle is worth, who sets the figure or whether it must be disclosed. One row of that table is a rule rather than an assumption. Allow the 2.5 seconds owed before a further cycle may open and an hour holds 1,440 of them at the outside.

2

Forty-one minutes forty, at the floor

The headline on a thousand-cycle award is a number of presses, and presses take time. At the lawful minimum spacing the thousand occupy 2,500 seconds, which is 41 minutes and 40 seconds. That is the floor and not an estimate: it assumes a reader pressing continuously, with no pause to read a result and no interruption.

Three rules put that floor where it is. For every cycle the start control is released and depressed once more, or an equivalent action is taken, so holding the button down achieves nothing. A commitment is taken from the customer at every single cycle, which is what removes automatic play. And no feature may shorten the wait for a result, which removes the accelerators a reader might otherwise reach for.

The thousand against the usual windows
Window in the termsRuns of 41 min 40 s it holdsCycles a day it implies
One hour1.441,440 at most
24 hours34.51,000 is 4 per cent of a day
7 days241.9143 a day
30 days1,036.834 a day

So a 24-hour window on a thousand cycles is not tight, and a one-hour window is impossible on a licensed product, because 1,440 is the ceiling on cycles per hour and the award needs 1,000 of them with no margin for reading anything. A reader meeting a thousand-cycle award with a short window should convert the window into cycles before deciding whether the offer is real.

The time figure also prices the award in a way money cannot. Forty-two minutes of attention for an expected £96.00 is £2.30 a minute, which sounds generous until the conditions below are applied. Under a £10.00 ceiling the same forty-two minutes return at most £10.00, which is 24p a minute, and the arithmetic of a ceiling is the subject of the next part.

2,500 seconds for the award, 1,440 cycles an hour as the lawful ceiling

3

The condition that removes nine tenths

A maximum-win term is the only condition that can take a four-figure tally and leave a two-figure sum, and at this size it usually does. The mechanism is replacement rather than reduction: once a fixed sum is the most that may leave the account, the expectation of the award cannot exceed that sum however many cycles were advertised.

A cycle is worth 9.6p of expectation here, so a ceiling divided by 9.6 names the cycle where the average meets it. Everything after that cycle is advertising.

Ceilings against a thousand cycles
Ceiling printed Mean arrives at cycle Cycles contributing nothing Expectation removed Value per minute of play
£5.0053947£91.0012p
£10.00105895£86.0024p

£50.00521479£46.00£1.20
£96.00 or above1,000 or nevernonenothing£2.30

Read the second row as the common case. A thousand cycles beneath a ten pound ceiling was never worth a hundred pounds. Uncapped, the expectation is £96.00; capped, the balance stops at £10.00; so £86.00 goes, and with it the contribution of 895 cycles. The headline is ten times the smaller tallies on this site and the deliverable is not.

That final column makes the point to a reader who has read nothing else on the sheet. Under a five pound ceiling, the award pays 12p a minute of pressing for the forty-two minutes it takes. Uncapped, the same forty-two minutes are worth £2.30 a minute. The ceiling is a nineteen-fold reduction in the rate at which the award pays for a reader’s attention.

No usual win cap on bonus proceeds appears in any reachable source, so those five ceilings are round sums picked to span this award’s mean. One rule nearby protects a different balance: a term capping what a consumer may withdraw from their deposit balance is prohibited, and a no-deposit award creates no deposit balance for it to protect.

A line rising 9.6 pence a cycle to ninety-six pounds at the thousandth cycle, with a flat ceiling at ten pounds cutting across it at cycle one hundred and five and the remaining line drawn flat.
Figure 1. Expectation across a thousand cycles at 10p, with a ten pound ceiling laid over it. The line stops climbing at cycle 105 and 895 cycles add nothing.

4

A thousand, divided into visits

Four-figure tallies are almost always paid in instalments, because a thousand cycles handed over at once would be used in forty-two minutes and the account would go quiet. Dividing the tally changes the expectation not at all and changes everything else.

One thousand, five schedules
Shape of the drip Visits Minutes a visit Expectation a visit Elapsed span
1,000 at once141.7£96.00one sitting
100 a day104.2£9.6010 days
50 a day202.1£4.8020 days
20 a day500.8£1.9250 days
10 a week1000.4£0.96100 weeks

Stare at the bottom row. Ten cycles a week for a hundred weeks is the same £96.00 of expectation as the top row, delivered over nearly two years, in a hundred visits of twenty-five seconds apiece. Nobody would describe that as a thousand free spins if the description had to include the delivery schedule, and nothing obliges the description to include it.

Each tranche also brings its own expiry, which is where a schedule turns into a subtraction with a figure attached. On the hundred-a-day schedule a single missed day deletes £9.60 of expectation, and three missed days delete £28.80. On the twenty-a-day schedule a missed day costs £1.92, and a fortnight away costs £26.88. A reader who collects four fifths of the tranches has bought four fifths of the headline, whatever the banner said.

One rule in this corner cuts against the whole pattern. Chasing a loss may not be encouraged by a gambling product, nor may a larger stake be pressed on a customer, nor may play continue once the customer has said they wish to finish. Guidance under the same requirement adds that somebody who has opted out is not to be tempted back, and a free game is the temptation it names. A hundred-visit calendar is an invitation to return a hundred times, and on a licensed site the invitations have to stop when the customer does.

5

A multiple on ninety-six pounds

The cycles themselves carry no requirement. Their proceeds can, and at this tally the numbers get large quickly, because a requirement is a multiple of a balance that is already in three figures.

Multiples against £96.00
Multiple Turnover owed Cycles at 10p Hours at the floor pace Expected to survive
Nonenilnilnil£96.00
Five times£480.004,8003.3£76.80
Ten times£960.009,6006.7£57.60
Twenty times£1,920.0019,20013.3£19.20
Twenty-five times£2,400.0024,00016.7nothing

The fourth column is the point. Ten times a £96.00 balance is 9,600 further cycles and six hours and forty minutes of lawful pressing, which no window of a day accommodates comfortably and no window of an hour accommodates at all. Twenty-five times would run to sixteen hours and forty minutes and arrive at nothing, since 25 is 1 divided by 0.04.

Only the first three rows belong to this market. From 19 January 2026 onwards, a British licensee has worked to a ceiling of ten times on the bonus funds, imposed by the code provision on incentives, whose scope covers every licence bar gaming machine technical and software ones. Sixty times was the practice the regulator recorded beforehand, which on this balance would mean £5,760.00 of turnover, 57,600 cycles and forty hours of pressing.

A contribution rate stretches every hour in that column. Take the 30 per cent contribution rate respondents gave the regulator’s consultation. The tenfold row’s £960.00 of progress then costs around £3,200.00 in staking, 32,000 cycles, twenty-two hours at the floor pace. The money at the end is unchanged. The time is tripled.

6

The limit a reader may set themselves

An award that asks for forty-two minutes, or for a hundred visits across two years, is an award that interacts with the one control a reader has over their own account. On a British licence the financial limit facilities are specified in detail, and the detail converts into cycles.

Five lettered requirements carry it, and the table below sets them beside their effect in cycles at 10p.

The five limit requirements
LetterWhat it fixesConverted at 10p
12Afacilities reachable from registration onwards, a prompt either while registering or when the first money goes in, the limit live as soon as practicable, and the customer told when it startsa prompt before cycle 1
12Ba box the customer types into, or its telephone counterpart; limits biting at account level as the floor; gross deposit limits carrying that name and equal prominence; durations covering a day, a week, a month£10 a day is 100 cycles
12Ca link straight off the homepage, visible again on deposit screens, with clicks and pages kept to the fewest the system can managereachable mid-award
12Da rise only on request, only after 24 hours of cooling off and only with positive action afterwards; a cut applied at once; a review prompt at six-month intervals24 hours between 100 and 200 a day
12Ethe limit presented as the default, an action needed to decline one, and confirmation taken before deposit or playdeclining takes two steps

One definitional point in 12B is worth lifting out, because it polices the word rather than the figure. A gross deposit limit means a limit on what the customer puts into the account across a stated duration, and the standard reserves the phrase deposit limit for limits meeting exactly that description.

Now the arithmetic. The regulator’s own worked example of overlapping limits is a daily limit of £10 and a weekly limit of £100 set at the same time, where the most restrictive applies: the system must allow at most £10 a day and £70 a week. Convert that to this page’s unit and a £10 daily limit is 100 cycles a day, while the £70 weekly ceiling is 700 cycles a week. A thousand-cycle award paid 100 a day fits exactly inside the daily figure and takes ten days; the same award paid 200 a day would breach it on a self-limited account.

Self-set limits, converted into cycles at 10p
Limit the reader setsCycles it fundsMinutes at the floor pace
£5 a day502.1
£10 a day1004.2
£70 a week70029.2
£100 a month1,00041.7

The asymmetry in 12D is deliberate and converts neatly into this page’s unit. Going from 100 cycles a day to 200 takes a request, a day of waiting and a further positive act. Going from 200 back to 100 takes effect at once, barring a technical failure.

Two review duties close it. An account with activity across any rolling year brings a prompt, at intervals no wider than six months, to look over its own history and transactions, with facilities for more frequent reminders available. An account that has never set a limit brings a prompt to reconsider that, annually at the least.

7

The register that switches an account off

A hundred-visit schedule is the clearest case on this site for knowing how the national self-exclusion scheme works before signing up, because the award is designed to keep an account active for months. Participation is compulsory for any online gambling business that holds a British licence, which is why the licence and not the website fixes the reach.

The periods come first, and the table below takes them in sequence from registration to the seven years that follow a deactivation.

Periods and what follows them
StageWhat the terms say
At registration26 weeks; twelve months; five years; or five years set to renew
Switching renewal offpossible only once a five-year term has six months left
During the termno deactivation before the minimum period has run, which the terms put in capitals
At the endnothing lapses automatically; extend for half a year, twelve months or five years, or ask to deactivate
Doing nothingthe exclusion carries on for up to seven further years
Deactivatinga call to the contact centre, then a cooling-off day during which the exclusion keeps working
For seven years afteroperators are informed of the previous exclusion, and need not keep the person out

Two rows of that table deserve emphasis on a page about an award designed to run for months. Nothing lapses by itself at the end of a period, so an exclusion left alone keeps working rather than quietly expiring. And in the seven years after a deactivation, operators are told only that the person was excluded before, with no duty on them to keep that person out.

A date belongs with all of that, because the periods and the route out are the facts most apt to move: the terms were revised most recently in May 2026, on the twentieth.

Four published figures put the scheme’s scale beside a thousand-cycle award. Year-on-year growth among registrants under 25 came to 26 per cent, and that age group supplies nearly a third of all exclusions. The five-year maximum was the choice of over half the registrants. Across every age the six-month option took a quarter, and among registrants under 25 that share reached 38 per cent. And new registrations ran above seven in ten male.

The scheme also states the limit of what it buys, and the statement is the most useful self-exclusion fact for a site about offshore offers. Assistance reaches the gambling services run by participating operators, and where an organisation has not joined the scheme says plainly that it cannot prevent access. No sentence on this page assists somebody trying to get back into an account they themselves closed off. Blocking software, free by way of the national helpline, answers the other half, and the number sits below.

Six months, one year, five years, and a seven-year notification afterwards

8

A thousand cycles with no licence behind them

Four-figure tallies are the loudest thing in the offshore shop window, and an award printed there holds no Great Britain licence. Parts six and seven are therefore the parts that vanish, and both of them are about control rather than money.

A thousand cycles, two regimes
On a four-figure tallyBritish licenceNo British licence
Cycles an hour, at most1,440, from the 2.5-second ruleunlimited, no pace rule published
Automatic playunavailable, each cycle committed tounaddressed in the rulebook
Largest multiple on the proceedsten times the bonus fundsnothing published
Deposit limit durationsa day, a week and a month at the leastdaily, weekly or monthly
Raising a limit24 hours of cooling off, then positive actionseven days of waiting
Self-exclusiona single register covering all licenseesoperator by operator, a year being the shortest

Two rows of that table favour the offshore rulebook and should be said so. The waiting period before a deposit limit rises is seven days under the Curaçao policy against 24 hours here. Its cooling-off provisions run to four lengths: 24 hours, 7 days, 1 month, 3 months. Each is reachable with one click, needing no email and no sign-off from the operator, each takes effect immediately, and each can be chosen product by product. Discouraging their use is forbidden, whether by querying the decision, by reassurance meant to defer it, or by a promotion held out to keep play going.

Where it is weaker on a thousand-cycle award is the pace and the exclusion. Nothing in the document read for this sheet sets a minimum interval between cycles, so the 1,440 ceiling in the first row has no counterpart out there. Exclusion out there starts at twelve months, with 3, 5 and 10 years and a lifetime as the further options, and once confirmed it is not revocable by the player until it ends. Barring yourself at one operator, across its domains, is what self-exclusion means there, and for the remainder of the market the policy offers encouragement to go site by site.

The honest summary for this tally is that the offshore version of a thousand free spins is bigger and looser. There is no published ceiling on what may be asked of the proceeds, no pace rule to put a floor under the time, and no national register to switch every account off at once. What exists out there, and this sheet records it because it is true, is a complaints route open for six months with an eight-week timeline on the answer, dispute resolution costing the player nothing, and escalation terms written by the operator.

One figure does not change at the border. Wherever the operator sits, British gaming duty reaches it once remote gambling is offered to a person ordinarily resident here, and 40 per cent of operator profits is the charge on remote gaming from 1 April 2026. A licence changes what a reader may rely upon. It does not change who the duty falls on.

Questions

What are 1000 free spins with no deposit worth?
£96.00 on average, worked from £100.00 of funded staking at 10p a cycle against a return of 96 per cent. The missing £4.00 is the house edge over the thousand. That figure holds only where no ceiling is printed on the winnings, which at this tally is the condition that matters most.
How long does it take to play a thousand free spins?
41 minutes and 40 seconds, or 2,500 seconds, which is the quickest pace a licensed slot allows, no cycle being able to open inside 2.5 seconds of the previous start. The lawful ceiling is therefore 1,440 cycles an hour, and no feature may shorten it: automatic play is unavailable and nothing may cut the wait for a result.
Why would a ten pound cap matter on a thousand spins?
Because it removes £86.00 of the expectation. With 9.6p added a cycle, the mean meets a ten pound ceiling at cycle 105, and 895 cycles then contribute nothing. Measured against the time, the award falls from £2.30 a minute of pressing to 24p a minute.
Does it matter that the spins arrive in daily instalments?
Not for the expectation, which stays at £96.00 however the thousand is divided. It matters for the visits and the expiries. A hundred a day is ten visits of 4.2 minutes, and one missed day deletes £9.60. Ten a week is a hundred visits of 25 seconds spread over nearly two years, with a hundred separate chances to miss one.
What would a tenfold requirement cost on the winnings?
£960.00 of turnover, which is 9,600 cycles and six hours forty minutes of lawful pressing, leaving £57.60 expected. At a contribution of 30 per cent the staking climbs to roughly £3,200.00, so 32,000 cycles and twenty-two hours deliver the same £57.60.
Can I cap my own spending instead?
On a British licence, yes, and in specified detail. A free text box, or its telephone equivalent. Limits biting at account level as the minimum. Gross deposit limits given prominence equal to the rest. And durations that have to take in a day, a week and a month. At 10p a cycle, a £10 daily limit funds 100 cycles a day and a £70 weekly limit funds 700.
Why is raising a limit slower than lowering one?
Because the standard sets the two directions at different speeds. A rise needs the request, then 24 hours at least of cooling off, then a positive act to confirm at the end of it. A cut goes through at once, technical failure aside. The default is to set one, and a reader who declines has to act and then confirm it.
How long does a self-exclusion last?
Four options stand at registration. The shortest runs half a year. Next comes twelve months. Then five years. Then five years again, this time with renewal built in. Turning the renewal off is possible only inside the last six months of the five. Ending early is not possible, nothing is lifted automatically when a period runs out, and deactivating means a call to the contact centre plus a day of cooling off. Operators then hear about the previous exclusion for seven years, without any duty to act on it.
Does the national scheme cover offshore sites?
No, and the scheme publishes that itself. Its assistance covers whichever operators take part, and services from organisations outside it are, on its own statement, past the help it can give. Since membership rides on the British licence, the licensed market is the whole of its reach.
What is different about a thousand spins from an unlicensed site?
There is no pace rule, so the 1,440 cycles an hour ceiling does not exist; no published ceiling on a requirement attached to the proceeds; and no national register to close every account at once. The offshore policy read for this sheet does require one-click cooling-off periods and holds a limit increase for seven days against 24 hours here, so the comparison is not one-sided.
